Getting Ready for Carson James

I've been so blessed by precious family and friends who have showered us with gifts for Carson.


My devotional group at CBES gave me the most precious little shower with verses that went along with each gift.  It was such a precious idea and a great reminder of God's amazing blessings and promises in my life!

My precious Kindergarten class gave me a "book" shower!  It was such a sweet day and I can't wait for Carson to enjoy all of the precious books!

My Birmingham shower was given by friends, family, and my sister.  The decorations were the cutest ever with the most precious diaper cake that my friend Claire made.  It's times like this when I truly realize how blessed I am! Carson is going to have the cutest clothes ever!  He is also well stocked with diapers, burp cloths, bibs, and blankets!

My Arab shower was given by some sweet ladies from my mother-in-law's church as well as my sister-in-law.  The food was catered by a friend of the family and was absolutely amazing!

Korey's work also gave us a lunch-time shower at Chuy's! Being a few days from my due date I was very interested to see what effect all that Mexican food would have! :)

Korey surprised me by booking our Babymoon trip to Anguilla. The end of the school year was so crazy busy with getting my classroom packed up that this time away couldn't have come at a better time! This was our last celebration of "us" as we prepare for our most precious of blessings coming in October.

The resort we stayed at was an amazing place called Cap Juluca.  It's a place that's been on our travel list for a while but was one that we decided we would have to save till later.  Which is why I was so surprised when Korey revealed our Babymoon location to me at the beginning of June.  It was incredible!! The majority of our time was spent relaxing on the beach and eating of course. This place is like a little beach town with amazing restaurants even off of the resort.  Definitely a "go back" kind of place!!

Not to mention....we were "STAR" struck as we saw Tori Spelling and her husband dining at the beachside restaurant and playing on the beach with their 2 kids (and one on the way too)!


It was a bitter sweet week as we know that vacations with just the two of us won't be as often anymore but we can't wait to vacation with our precious baby boy!

Gender Reveal!

So the whole reason I started this blog was to have a way to preserve memories, photos, etc. and to share with others.  So far I have failed!  The past few months have been wonderful as we have been preparing for the arrival of our precious baby! At the end of May we had our appointment that we had been waiting for!! During our ultrasound, the tech sealed our baby's gender in an envelope and off the the bakery it went! Korey and I had dinner at Flemings and then when home to cut into our tiny little cake and the next day we gave one to our family! This was such a fun way to surprise ourselves and we loved being able to share the experience with our family the next day at the beach!
